Verso is the newest tyre manufactured by Marangoni's Car Tyres business unit. The Marangoni Research Center focused on the progressive fine-tuning of ideas, materials and technologies.

As a product, Verso is the translation of the key element of every evolutionary process: essentiality. The key characteristic of Verso's design is the progressive elimination of every superfluous element, concentrating on refining only the essential characteristics. This evolutionary process, which is guided by Marangoni's great experience in manufacturing tyres, is expressed starting with its name: because in Italian Verso means “towards”. It is the affirmation of a program, of guidelines that look to the future and to the evolution of tyres as a product through a synthesis of its fundamental characteristics.

The essence of driving Verso represents the synthesis of a tyre's essential characteristics, the exaltation of performance that is decisive in a product intended to cover the principal segments of the market. These characteristics are Safety Comfort Balanced performance. The most important element in any driving situation, safety is expressed, most of all, in its performance on wet surfaces, i.e., under the most slippery conditions. In fact, this is where Verso's behavior is exceptionally confident due to a series of factors. • The tread design with 4 circumferential grooves, which results in resistance to aquaplaning that is significantly superior to the previous Marangoni model (Vanto) and at the highest level of any of its competitors. • The exclusive CVR (Constant Void Ratio) technology, which optimizes its footprint on the ground and guarantees a uniform distribution of pressure over the entire footprint, under all conditions, for an excellent grip and a significant reduction in braking distance. • Special mixtures created with FOM-IC technology, which result in a sharp increase in grip, performance and control.

You immediately “feel” another Verso characteristic, Comfort. In fact, an in-depth study of tread block sequences has resulted in an exceptionally quiet tyre. Finally, there is an important contribution from Cap & Base technology that increases the tyre's ability to efficiently absorb any uneven road surface. The choice of a symmetric design, which promotes uniform wear, results in characteristics that are maintained over time at an optimum level of performance.

The term Balanced Performance essentially means that Verso is the synthesis of three factors:
• progressive response
• precision driving on both dry and wet surfaces
• stability at high speeds
In the first place, this performance is a result of PST Eco, the most recent development of Marangoni's PST (Performance, Safety and Technology) technological platform, which supplemented its well-tested construction guidelines with an ecological aspect that involves the use of materials recovered from the thermal processing of worn tyres. PST Eco reduces deformations in critical areas of the tyre's structure, leading to superior progressive response and driving pleasure.
The PST Eco specifications have been supplemented with the particular characteristics of Verso's tread design: the reinforced shoulders that increase lateral stability at high speeds and the solid central rib that ensures maximum directional precision.
All this for driving pleasure without comparison.
